Women and men serving in positions of significant leadership are the lifeblood of The Summit Church. Bringing their experience and expertise to bear as we grow the Kingdom of God, leaders at The Summit provide wisdom and guidance to help advance the mission.
Members of The Summit Church are invited to nominate individuals who are candidates for leadership.
Leaders are needed for the following standing committees.
Personnel Committee
The committee is responsible for providing guidance for employee policies, compensation and benefits, legal compliance, performance management and staff training for The Summit Church.
Property Committee
The Property Committee is responsible for oversight and care of all real and personal property owned by The Summit Church, in support of its mission and ministries. Additionally, the Property Committee protects the church through overseeing insurance, workers compensation and risk mitigation.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is responsible for recommending a budget and overseeing the expenditure of the financial resources of the congregation to support and strengthen the mission and ministry of the congregation. Approval of this team is required to enter into financial agreements and to sign loan documents. Upon Finance Committee approval, recommendation will be made to the Church Council to enter into agreements.
Per our Bylaws, individuals nominated to serve should meet the following criteria:
A member of The Summit Church in good standing;
Evidence of personal spiritual growth;
Committed to the work of the church by giving generously of their resources
Ability to think strategically regarding the future of The Summit Church; and
Ongoing involvement in the life of the church.
Nominations are due by September 15, 2024.
