Create and foster meaningful, faith-filled relationships! Young adults (ages 18-29) are invited to join us on Monday nights. Each Monday night, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and go through a study through Acts together. Summit Young Adults is a great way to meet and grow closer to other Christians around your age! Anyone in the Lee’s Summit & Kansas City community is invited to attend.

Women are invited to join us for Summit Women, a women’s ministry gathering, where we will learn together, build connections, and create a strong community. Summit Women will meet on the third Thursday of every month. We’ll talk together, pray together, hear from our women’s ministry team, and do a devotional together! In March, we’ll have prayer and pasta night with Pastor Cigi!

You’re invited to dive into what it means for Jesus to be among us! We’ve invited Pastor Derek Vreeland to come speak and teach on Wednesday, March 19. This is a great chance to gather together to learn new insights about Jesus’ ministry while He was on Earth, and discover how we can live as He did and follow Him well. There will be refreshments, a short time of worship and teaching.

There will be programming available for from nursery - 5th grade at Summit Kids, and our Student Ministry will be joining us for the adult class. It’s a night for the entire family!

Join us for Kindness 4 Cory Day and serve your community alongside your K-5th grader! On this special serve day, families will work together on projects that benefit local organizations. These projects include assembling dental kits for children and breakfast kits for the Ronald McDonald House. This is a great opportunity to teach your child about serving! A parent or guardian must accompany all participating children, and childcare will not be provided.

Daylight Saving Time is beginning on March 9, so we wanted to make the morning a little easier for your family as you "spring forward" one hour. Your child is invited to wear their PJ’s to Summit Kids and get a Pop-Tart for breakfast! Pop-Tarts will also be available for students in the student section. We hope to see you there.

Ready to take a step towards what God has for your life? There’s no better time than the lenten season to begin to or intentionally pursue Jesus’ calling for you!

That’s why we’re hosting an Ash Wednesday experience at The Summit Church on Wednesday, March 5. During this experience, you can join in singing and worshipping, praying and hear an encouraging message about how you can be with Jesus, become like Him and do as He did during the days leading up to Easter. Childcare will be available for kids birth - 5 years old when you sign up online in advance!

Join us as we go through the devotional, Jesus Among Us, together as a church. This 90-day devotional takes us through the life and ministry of Jesus. Devotionals are available for purchase in the lobby beginning on Sunday, February 9. You can also purchase the devotional online or download the app to follow along!

The reading plan will begin on Wednesday, March 5.

Help be FOR our community by joining us at Coldwater at their "Little Blessings Diaper Bank". We’ll assist in preparing diapers for distribution on Tuesday, February 25 from 1pm-3pm. These diapers will be distributed in March to two main recipients: the Head Start Program and clients directly served by Coldwater.

The work will primarily involve several key steps to ensure the diapers are ready for distribution. These steps include counting, wrapping, labeling and bagging.

Parenting in this generation has new challenges. We want to support you in your efforts, which is why we’re hosting a FREE community care event that will help you navigate parenting with confidence.

Licensed Counselor Barry McAnulty will empower parents by teaching seven key principles that can help foster a healthy parent-child relationship. And, we have mental health awareness programming happening in Summit Kids that same night so that while you learn, your kids will be too! There will be childcare and programming for nursery through 5th grade.

High school parents are invited to join Student Ministry Coordinator, Cole Jennings, after the 10:30am service as he provides information about the High School Mission Trip in June. We’ll go through the details of the trip, what students will be doing, the price, and answer any questions you may have. Let us know you’ll be there with the link below!

The Summit Worship and Production Team will be holding an open house on Sunday, February 23rd directly after the 10:30 service. Explore how you can help people experience God’s grace by serving on the worship or production team! If you're an instrumentalist, vocalist, or interested in production, this is a great opportunity to meet our staff and learn how you can get involved in serving our church on Sundays.

Summit Kids are invited to be FOR their community! Every Sunday in January and February we are accepting donations for the following items: bottled water, breakfast bars, tuna, floss, ponchos, wipes, mints, and blankets.

Then, on Sunday, February 23 during the 9am and 10:30am services Summit Kids will assemble the donated items into “Blessing Bags”. These bags will be given to those in need in the community.

11th & 12th grade students are invited to join us on February 22 at 9:30am for a time of teaching and advice on having faith in college. Kolby Allen, a College Ministry Pastor, will be joining us to teach upperclassmen about how they can maintain and grow their faith as they head into the next part of their lives. Summit Students are invited to a night of worship and community on Wednesday, February 19 from 6pm-8pm. We’ll immerse ourselves in God’s goodness through song and community. Plus, there will be an exciting surprise at the end of the night!

This is a great chance to invite someone for a fun night that brings them closer to God.

Summit Seniors is designed for people ages 55 and over to gather with others in the same stage of life and experience the joy that comes from growing your faith in community.  You will enjoy refreshments, fellowship and teaching about Jesus and build lasting relationships that will encourage your spiritual journey. 

We’re having some fun at The Summit Church on Sunday, February 9. We’ll be hosting a Chiefs Pre-Game Party before and after worship services at 9am and 10:30am. There will be free Super Bowl Sundaes, a photo op and some fun at Summit Kids, too!

It’s a great chance to have a little fun before the Superbowl and gather together as we kick off a new series called The Relationship Playbook.

We’ll be hosting a blended service for Chapel and Worship Center on Sunday, February 2. This service will take place in the Worship Center at 9am to celebrate what God is doing through our Waymakers Campaign as we share our commitments together. There will be choir, hymns and more! There will not be a service in the Chapel at 9am on Sunday, February 2.

Join in the fun during this Super Bowl season as we celebrate at The Summit's "Souper" Bowl Meal Packaging event. We'll partner with The Outreach Program to fight hunger on Saturday, February 1 from 10am-12pm at The Summit Church. We'll be packaging simple nutritious soup meals in an assembly-line fashion. The meals being packaged will stay right here in the community and be distributed through a local organization. This is a great serving opportunity during this time when so many are going hungry!

Our Chapel service will still take place at 9am.

You're invited to celebrate the Christmas season on Sunday, December 22 in the Chapel! At 9am & 10:30am we'll be hosting a special Christmas Cantata, with songs of the season, Christmas readings, special music and more. It's a great chance to invite a friend to sit with you for this incredible morning as we remember the reason for the season.

Join us for a night of holiday cheer at The Gathering's Cozy Christmas Party! We'll be serving up delicious waffles and hot cocoa, and don't forget to wear your ugliest Christmas sweater for the contest! We'll sing Christmas carols, play festive games, and enjoy good company. It's the perfect way to celebrate the season.

Join us for a one-night in-depth seminar on what it really means for Jesus to be with us. This class will be taught by Israel Kamudzandu, a professor of New Testament studies and biblical interpretation, and line up with the devotional we’re going through together as a church, Jesus With Us. Dr. Kamudzandu will take us through the incarnation of Jesus and talk about what Jesus’ birth means for our lives. This will be a great night of learning and reflection!

You’re invited to a very special evening to kick off Christmas on Friday, December 6! The Lee’s Summit community is invited for A Very Summit Christmas from 6pm-8pm. We’ll begin the Christmas season with the very best holiday classic songs, some great refreshments, interactive fun for kids and more.

The fun will begin in our lobby at 6pm with refreshments, live music on the grand piano and a chance to shop some local vendors for Christmas gifts. The concert will begin in the Worship Center at 6:30pm.

This program is designed for everyone (young & old) to kick off the season together. It’s a great opportunity to invite a friend or neighbor!

This Thanksgiving at The Summit, we are providing an opportunity for you to make a larger impact in our community and around the world! We will be providing and delivering groceries to those in need in Lee’s Summit on Saturday, November 23. This will allow families to make their own Thanksgiving meal for their family on Thanksgiving Day. Register below!
