This Christmas, we’ll providing opportunities for you to serve our community! During our Reverse Advent, you will have a chance to serve people and give back each day of Advent.

The Advent season is typically a time when followers of Jesus prepare their hearts to remember what the Christmas season is all about - Jesus coming to Earth in the form of a baby to later become the Savior of the world. Some families take part in this by serving our community, praying, worshipping together AND even giving small gifts to one another each day.

During our Reverse Advent, instead of giving small gift within our families, we have provided a way for you to give a gift to those in need instead. (That’s why it’s REVERSE Advent!)

Below you will find all the ways you can be FOR our community this Advent season.

Week One: Lee’s Summit Elementary

November 29 - December 5
Help provide essential items for families at Lee’s Summit Elementary School by packing a box full of hygiene and clothing items. Download the list of items you can collect each day below!

Please drop off your donations for Lee’s Summit Elementary at The Summit Church on Saturday, December 5 from 10am-12pm.

Week Two: Coldwater of Lee’s Summit

December 6 - December 12
Help feed the hungry in our community this Christmas by packing up a box of food donations for Coldwater of Lee’s Summit! Download the list of food items you can collect each day below!

Please drop of your food donations at Coldwater located at 1101 NE Independence Ave (Community of Christ Church). Drop off location is located at lower level back entrance and items will be accepted between 9am - 2pm Monday through Friday. To make an appointment for a drop off at another time, please call (816) 786-0758.

Week three: for lee’s summit

December 13 - December 19
This week is all about being FOR Lee’s Summit! We’ve provided a list of ideas of ways you can serve local businesses and your neighbors. We hope you’ll get creative and let others know you are FOR them.
